Principal Fund Manager
Mr Barneby is responsible for the management of the Active U.S. Treasury Fund's portfolio. Mr. Barneby serves as Investment Director, Fixed Income of the Adviser. Prior to joining the Adviser in 2014, Mr. Barneby served as Senior Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Hudson Canyon Investment Counselors, LLC, where he was responsible for managing private account clients in the Active Interest Rate Management strategy.
Prior to that, Mr. Barneby held the title of Chief Strategist & Portfolio Manager, Taxable Fixed Income at American Independence Financial Services. Prior to AIFS, Mr. Barneby was a Managing Member of Old Iron Hill Capital Management, LLC employing quantitatively-oriented fixed income and multi-strategy investment approaches.
Previously, he headed an investment group at UBS in New York that managed equity and bond portfolios with roughly $7 billion in assets. Mr. Barneby is a graduate of Southwest Missouri State College—now Missouri State University—with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and Economics. Subsequently, he completed all course and exam requirements for a Doctorate in Economics at Oklahoma State University. He is a National Science, NDEA and Woodrow Wilson Fellow.

Sanlam Centre American Select Equity Fund
The Fund seeks long-term growth of capital through exposure to equity securities of large capitalization U.S. companies with performance emphasis placed on upside/downside capture.
James A. Abate, MBA, CPA, CFA, is the portfolio manager of the Sanlam Centre American Select Equity Fund and serves as the Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of the Investment Manager, Centre Asset Management, LLC.
Prior to founding Centre Asset Management, Mr. Abate was US Investment Director for GAM, responsible for the start-up and portfolio management of the firm’s in-house strategies focused on the large cap segment of the US equity market.

Sanlam Global High Quality Fund
The objective of the fund is to produce compound total returns in excess of the MSCI World Index over the medium to long-term.
As Head of Global Equities, Pieter is the lead fund manager for the Sanlam Global High Quality Fund and the Clime International Equity fund having joined the firm in mid 2012. His responsibilities include the design, management and implementation of our global equity client offering including segregated mandates for high net worth individuals. Pieter oversees a team of five analysts focusing on global and UK equities across multiple industries. Current assets under management managed by the investment team in direct global and UK equity mandates is more than $0.5bn.

Sanlam Multi-Strategy Fund
A diversified, absolute return fund that aims to participate in rising markets and defend capital during downturns. Aims to provide a return of inflation plus 4% per annum over a market cycle. In addition to that the funds targets a positive absolute returns on a rolling 3 year basis.
Mike joined Sanlam in January 2013 to develop a multi-strategy proposition. Previously, he headed up the multi-asset group at Insight Investments. Before this, Mike spent 20 years at Credit Suisse where he held senior positions including Head of Special Mandates and Head of Trusts and Charities in the asset management and private banking divisions. As Head of Multi-Asset Solutions at Credit Suisse, Mike managed a team of 14 with responsibility for £5bn of AUM.

A concentrated portfolio of liquid real assets securities. Aims to provide a return of inflation plus 4% per annum over a market cycle.
Sanlam US Dividend Fund
A dividend value fund investing in attractive US companies with the aim of achieving the highest risk-adjusted returns throughout the cycle against the benchmark. It has a value bias with a distinctive quality overlay, focussing on dividend sustainability and company valuation.
Adour joined Sanlam in October 2014 to establish the US equities proposition. Previously, he managed the award winning US High Dividend Fund at ING, which had $1.7bn in AUM. Adour started his career in 1999 with Exane before joining S&P Investment Services in 2001 and Capital at Work in 2005 where he managed his first fund. Adour studied at the American University of Beirut, the American University in Washington DC and the Dauphine University in Paris. He has an MBA in Finance and is a CFA charterholder.
